Kyle walked Capitol Hill in the late 1980’s, camera around his neck and shooting with actual film that he developed while as a student at Metro State College and later in his home dark room.  Denver was a different city with viaducts casting shadows over lower downtown and most of east Colfax lined with adult bookstores, laundromats and the occasional “lady of the evening.”  Kyle found subjects in backyard junk collections, the weathered faces of his neighbors and the industrial sides of Denver back then.  His photos, some scarred with dust collected on the old negatives, preserve a lost era.
